The Jacket Material of Coaxial Cable

The Coaxial Cable jacket can be made from many material, FEP, LSZH, PVC, PUR and PE are some of the popular jackets. 

PVC is a popular jacket, coaxial cable RG58, RG213, RG214, RG223 are normally have PVC jacket. In some indoor applications that require Zero Halogon material, LSZH will be used.

FEP jacket is a plenum rated material, can withstand high temperature and harsh environment, it's an ideal jacket for small diameter cable such as 1.13mm Cable, RG178, RG316, RG402, RG405 Cable.

PE jacket is a very good choice for the outdoor use cable, it's robust, though not as flexible as PVC or PUR, PUR use in the application that require ultra flexible characteristic, however, the cost is much higher than the PE.
