Low PIM Passive Components

Low PIM Power Splitters, Combiners, Couplers, Termination Loads, and Attenuators

Connector, Coaxial Cable Assemblies aren’t the only Low PIM Devices. When there are multiple antennas in a building, the signals need to be split between the antennas, power splitters are needed. When requiring three or four coaxial RF interfaces to be connected, combiners are needed. When preventing a signal from being reflected back from each end, termination loads are needed. When reducing the power of a RF signal without disturbing or decreasing the waveform of the signal significantly, Attenuators are needed.

To ensure a low PIM System, either DAS or Small Cell, every connection must be to minimize PIM. Optimized for PIM performance and with minimal solder joints, Raynool provide a cost-effective way to Low PIM passive components.

Low PIM Power Splitter (Divider)

Low PIM Power Splitter is used to split the signals and power in a Low PIM system, cover all cellular frequency range, from 698MHz to 2700MHz. Available in 2 way, 3 way, 4 way model. Interface is N Female, or 4.3-10 Female, or DIN Female.

the power splitter with a spec of -160 dBc at 2*20 watts is an indispensable part to the performance of DAS system.

Low PIM Combiner

The Combiner combines two wireless carriers in the band to a single antenna feed or distribution cable with minimum intermodulation. In some circumstance combiner can be used as a splitter, while the power handing is different.

Splitters and combiners look similar but each device serves a different purpose.  Splitters evenly separate signal among the output legs, then send the signal to receivers or tuners.  Combiners take signal from two or more sources then merge them onto a single line.

Low PIM Directional Coupler

An essential feature of directional couplers is that they only couple power flowing in one direction. Power entering the output port is coupled to the isolated port but not to the coupled port. A directional coupler designed to split power equally between two ports is called a hybrid coupler.

Low PIM couplers ranges from 678 to 2,700 MHz, with a broad range of coupling values: 6, 10, 15, 20, and 30 dB, power rated to 200W and three different connector types: N, DIN, 4.3-10.

Low PIM Termination Load

Low PIM Termination Load are used to prevent a signal from being reflected back from each end, causing interference, or power loss, and is able to block out unwanted signals.

Low PIM Termination Load frequency Range from DC to 6 GHz, power rated to 200W, with SMA, N, DIN, 4.3-10 interface.

Low PIM Attenuator

Low PIM Attenuator are used to reduce the power of a RF signal without disturbing or decreasing the waveform of the signal significantly, , and is able to block out unwanted signals. Low PIM Attenuator ranges from 3 to 20 dB, power rated to 200W, for interface, N type is more available at the market.
